Paranoid Prince Harry Made a Ridiculous Accusation Against Victoria Beckham - Showbiz Cheat Sheet

While we know that Prince Harry and his brother could be in the middle of a feud at the moment, it’s really not every day that we hear about a royal feuding with a celebrity. However, it seems that there was once a time when Prince Harry and Victoria Beckham were at odds with one another. Reportedly, it came from a ridiculous accusation that Prince Harry made about the fashion designer. Prince Harry thought that Victoria Beckham was spreading rumors about Meghan Markle

It’s no secret that Meghan, Duchess of Sussex gets talked about in the press a lot. Ever since the news came out about her relationship with Prince Harry, Meghan has received a significant amount of attention. It got to the point where even people close to her were speaking to the media about her.

In one instance, Prince Harry also believed that Beckham might have been one of those people who was spilling details about Meghan’s private life to newspapers.

A source shared with The Sun that Meghan and Beckham got along quite well and “were in regular contact” with one another. However, things became sour between the two of them when some stories about Meghan and Beckham’s relationship started appearing in the press.

These stories include one in December 2017 about Beckham giving the Duchess of Sussex tips for where to find good stylists, hairdressers, and facialists. The insider alleged Meghan “feared Victoria was behind” these leaked news articles, so she went to Prince Harry about it.

Prince Harry had an ‘awkward exchange’ with David Beckham

Prince Harry and David Beckham are known to be close. The pair have worked together a lot over the years, especially when it comes to their charity work.

Because of this, Prince Harry decided to confront Beckham about the possibility of his wife talking to the press about Meghan.

“Harry is very protective of Meghan, and decided to deal with the matter head-on, by directly contacting his good pal, David,” the sourced told The Sun. “Harry was very polite, but obviously it was a pretty awkward exchange and David was mortified.”

The insider continued: “He quickly put Harry right, and the two men agreed to move on — but it certainly made things awkward for a while.”

The parties involved also later found out that it was not actually Victoria who told the media stories about Meghan. Rather, it was someone from a beauty salon.

The source alleged that it took “a few months” before things got better between the Sussexes and the Beckhams. However, it seems that they do not have any bad blood between them anymore.

The Beckhams were present at Prince Harry and Meghan’s wedding in 2018, but they did not attend the “evening do” celebration afterward.

She was also able to announce four new scholarships to help students study in different commonwealth countries, allowing cross cultural understanding and an opportunity to deepen their educational studies abroad. One of the recipients of these grants shared his story of growing up on farmland in Kenya, where he paid for his education trading vegetables to cover schooling costs (cauliflower leaves to be exact!) He is now doing a research study on carcinogens in his country, its link to cancer – his work is helping to change practices and to save lives. The Duchess was so moved by the work being done across the education sector and to talk with such like-minded thinkers about the importance of access to education and the support needed internally. When the round table discussion this morning moved to the challenges faced in this sector and how daunting it can all seem, The Duchess said, “Sometimes access to education can seem so big, you wonder where to even begin? So you begin with one student, or one school, you simply begin. Although it was not very serious, some people have alleged that Meghan and Victoria Beckham had a bit of a scuffle about the latter’s fashion career.

Meghan once said that she would never wear a Victoria Beckham dress because she does not “have the long torso to support that silhouette.” But that was not the exact reason for their disagreement since Meghan has been spotted in a few Victoria Beckham designs that are not dresses.

The tension between Meghan and Beckham came because of the designer’s policy about giving things away for free.

Another source told The Sun: “Victoria doesn’t do freebies — it’s a principle she’s had since day one, and she has stuck to it doggedly. But obviously when representatives for the Duchess get in touch to ask if Victoria can commission and send over some outfits, the subject of money is difficult.”

However, things got better between the two women when Meghan learned that royals are not supposed to accept free gifts. As such, Meghan is now “happy to pay for anything” and there is no longer tension between her and Beckham regarding this subject.
