Screen industries are in mourning as a star from a Hollywood family dynasty has passed away.
Hollywood actor Peter Fonda died at the age of 79 today (August 16). According to People, he suffered a respiratory failure due to lung cancer.
Fonda was the son of actor Henry Fonda, the younger brother of actor Jane Fonda, and the father of actor Bridget Fonda.
In an acting career that began in the 1960s, he was best known for starring alongside Dennis Hopper as Billy in the 1969 road drama Easy Rider, which became a landmark counterculture film. Hopper and Fonda cowrote the Oscar-nominated screenplay with Terry Southern.
He won an Academy Award for best actor for the 1997 feature drama Ulee’s Gold.
