Rain or shine, Rock the Lake is good to go!
Final preparations were underway Friday afternoon for the three-day music festival, which has become one of the summer's top attractions in Kelowna.
Organizer Dave Dakers tells Castanet: "This is more like a neighbourhood block party. Kelowna is a great classic rock market – people here love this music, and it's a great event."
Now in its fourth year, Dakers says they're already making plans for 2020.
"We're already looking at acts for next year. Tickets for next year go on sale next week, with the bands announced in November."
The event was a sellout last year and is very close this year. Saturday is sold out, but it's still possible to get tickets for tonight and Sunday.
Tonight's show features Pat Travers, David Wilcox, and Honeymoon Suite.
On Saturday it's Streetheart, the Romantics, 54-40, and Tom Cochrane with Red Rider.
Sunday's show wraps up with Prism, Headpins, Quiet Riot and Trooper.
