Goodbye, Cape Town! Duchess Meghan and her four-month-old son Archie have left the South African city and headed to the nation’s largest metropolis, Johannesburg.
In a photo obtained by HELLO! UK, the Duchess of Sussex was pictured holding her son as she boarded a flight from Cape Town to Johannesburg on Sept. 28. She was dressed in black pants and heels with a white shirt, and held her blanket-wrapped son close to her chest as she made her way onto the flight.
Meghan will be in Johannesburg for the rest of the Sussex family’s tour of southern Africa. Prince Harry, who was in Angola the same day, is set to fly across the southern part of the continent to Malawi, which he will visit Sept. 29 to Oct. 1 before returning to South Africa and his wife and baby son. Meghan will hold two solo engagements on Oct. 1, and the next day, she and Harry will attend four events together before flying out of the country.

It’s been an emotional few days for both Harry and Meghan. On Sept. 27, the duchess was pictured outside a Cape Town post office where South African student Uyinene Mrwetyana, 19, was murdered a week ago. The next day, she shared with followers on Instagram that she had left a note in Xhosa at the site, and also tied a ribbon to its stoop, as people have been doing when they leave tributes to Uyinene at the site.

Harry travelled to Angola from Botswana on Sept. 27, and followed in his late mother Princess Diana’s footsteps by walking through a minefield in Dirico. He later visited the site of her famous 1997 walk through a minefield in Huambo. The area is now a bustling street named after her, with shops, homes and schools.

The 35-year-old then travelled to an orthopedic hospital Diana visited in the city and renamed it in her honour before he went to the capital of Luanda and reunited with Sandra Tigica, a landmine survivor who met his mother in Angola when she was just 16 years old and has since named one of her children after Diana.
