Unseen images of Archie Harrison from his meeting with Desmond Tutu surface - HELLO! Canada

By Zach Harper

Awww! Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry brought their son Archie Harrison to meet Archbishop Desmond Tutu and his daughter Thandeka Tutu-Gxashe on Sept. 25, and unseen photos from the family’s outing have just surfaced!

Mungi Ngomane, Desmond’s granddaughter, took to Instagram the next day to share two sweet photos of the family of three. In the first image, proud father Harry beams while holding Everyday Ubuntu , Mungi’s book about the ancient South African philosophy on humanity’s connection, while Meghan grins as she holds their son in her lap. The second shows Meghan holding Archie and Harry with the book while the couple smile lovingly at each other.

“Arch meets Archie meanwhile… I have died and gone to heaven,” Mungi wrote. “I hope the royals enjoy my book.”

“Ubuntu” translates to “I am because we are” or “humanity towards others.” It is associated with Desmond and late former South African President Nelson Mandela.

Royal watchers were thrilled when Harry and Meghan brought Archie to meet Desmond and Thandeka earlier this week. Desmond was seen giving Archie a kiss, and the little boy loved Thandeka, who made a joke about how one day he was going to be a “ladies’ man.”

Meghan also accidentally revealed Archie’s sweet nickname. A video of her walking with her son in her arms shows her exclaiming, “Oh, Bubba!” to her son as the family arrived to meet Desmond and Thandeka.

Harry and Meghan have been apart since Sept. 26, when he travelled to Botswana to plant trees and learn about conservation work.

The next day, he travelled to Angola, where he followed in his late mother Princess Diana’s footsteps by walking through a minefield in Dirico. He later visited the site of her famous 1997 walk through a minefield in Huambo. The area is now a bustling street named after her, with shops, homes and schools.

The 35-year-old then travelled to an orthopedic hospital Diana visited in the city and renamed it in her honour before he went to the capital of Luanda and reunited with Sandra Tigica, a landmine survivor who met his mother in Angola when she was just 16 years old and has since named one of her children after Diana.

Meanwhile, Meghan made a secret visit

Harry will return to South Africa in October, and will reunite with Meghan for a series of engagements on Oct. 1 before their tour wraps the next day.
