Death, taxes, Ben Affleck being caught by paparazzi drinking iced coffee and Heidi Klum wearing an incredible costume on Oct. 31. These are the things you can count on. Klum, who hosts one of the biggest celebrity parties of the year on Halloween, has a reputation for going big with her costumes this time of year, using everything from wigs to prosthetics to achieve a larger-than-life look.
She may have topped herself this year, however, dressing up as an alien and accompanied by husband Tom Kaulitz, who dressed as a dead astronaut. Both arrived to her party in a biohazard truck, natch.Her previous costumes include: Michael Jackson, Jessica Rabbit, an elderly woman (complete with varicose veins), a skinless woman, an ape, a robot, the list goes on.
Including make-up and silicone prosthetics, this year’s costume took 10 hours to put together. Klum got dressed and was transformed in front of a live audience at an Amazon bookstore in New York. Fans and friends attempted to guess Klum’s costume throughout the process.
The 46-year-old model teased the look way back in August, when she shared an Instagram video of her undergoing a body scan in order to build the prosthetics.
