Oscar winner Alicia Vikander has adopted a strict single-take policy when it comes to filming sex scenes.
The 31-year-old has no problems signing on to get intimate with co-stars in films, but she insists on careful choreography and organized directors.
“I probably did my first sex scene at 20 and it’s always been technical, as it should be,” Vikander tells Harper’s Bazaar U.K..”It should never be anything but technical.
“I tell the crew it’s a one-taker,” she adds, “(and) that way, everybody on set is on point because you have to get it done in one take.”
Vikander insists that taking control over the sometimes difficult process has allowed her to be comfortable with sex scenes on set.
She adds, “I think that’s the way to do it because then everyone feels comfortable and then hopefully — although it is super strange and uncomfortable — a little magic comes through a lens and people will be convinced.”
