Meghan Markle re-wore her dress from Archie's public debut during her Skype call this weekend - HELLO! Canada

By Sarah Walker

Duchess Meghan has pulled off another royal fashion repeat while on tour in South Africa and we can’t get enough!

On Sept. 29, the 38-year-old wore the same green, V-neck linen dress she wore to a charity polo event with Archie Harrison in the summer. This time, she donned the Lisa Marie Fernandez outfit for a Skype chat with Prince Harry and at the Nalikule College of Education in Malawi, where he was attending an event by the Campaign for Female Education (CAMFED).

Meghan was eager to hear about the progress CAMFED has made in helping girls to attend secondary school. She was given a special musical welcome, to which she responded by clapping and dancing along via video.

The relaxed fit dress retails for US$595, and proved to be the perfect sartorial choice for the occasion.

In July, the royal was pictured wearing the dress with oversized Givenchy aviator sunglasses and long locks while planting a kiss on Archie’s head as she carried him during his first public outing. On Sept. 29, she kept her look similarly simple, opting to keep her hair naturally wavy and makeup minimal.

This isn’t the only look the duchess has repeated while on tour of South Africa.

On Sept. 23, the royal donned a bright sky blue Veronica Beard dress for a tour of the District 6 Museum alongside Harry. Located in the inner-city residential area of Cape Town, the museum highlights the forced relocation of 60,000 residents of various ethnicities during the apartheid era. We initially saw her in the look during a royal engagement in Tonga last year.

The next day, she wore a striped, sleeveless maxi dress designed by Australian Martin Grant to a youth leadership reception. During the event at the British High Commissioner’s residence, Harry and Meghan presented Jade Bothma and Hunter Mitchell with Commonwealth Points of Light prizes. The awards recognize “inspirational volunteers” in the Commonwealth, and recognize those who have given their time to improve society and make the world a better place. Meghan previously wore the ensemble during a visit to Bondi Beach.

With a few more solo events on the agenda for the duchess before the royal tour wraps up on Oct. 2, we could see even more re-wears from the former actress, perhaps from favoured labels like Aritzia, Mother Jeans and J. Crew. Stay tuned!
